Gianyar District Government Signs MoU Program BIE-D with APKASI and YPAN to Reduce Extreme Poverty
The Deputy Regent of Gianyar, I Dewa Tagel Wirasa, openly stated that there has been a decline in the quality of human resources in Gianyar District. This concerning condition is being addressed by the District Government, including providing educational scholarships.
Therefore, I Dewa Tagel Wirasa welcomed the joint audience with the Association of All Indonesian Regencies (APKASI) and the Adiluhung Nusantara Education Foundation (YPAN). One of the agendas in this audience held on Monday (10/21) was the signing of the memorandum of understanding for the Indonesia Gold-District Scholarship Program (BIE-D).
BIE-D is a scholarship program aimed at improving the skills and competencies of Indonesian human resources. This program encourages equalization of educational quality and sustainable development in all regions of Indonesia. The presence of APKASI has been a main resource for several institutions in understanding the development and progress of regions throughout Indonesia.
Dr. Ida Ayu Ketut Surya Adnyani, SE., MAP., acting as the Head of the Gianyar District Manpower Office, hopes that the signing of this memorandum of understanding can reduce unemployment and poverty levels in Gianyar District.
APKASI Education Expert, Dr. Himmatul Hasanah, MP., mentioned that there are already thousands of students who have benefited from this BIE-D program. There are three programs offered, namely the Regular Program, Overseas Scholarship Program, and Recognition of Prior Learning Program (RPL).
According to Himmatul Hasanah, this program is designed to improve the quality of regional human resources, so the participation of all relevant parties is crucial. “In this regard, APKASI will also continuously build synergy with the Provincial Government and related stakeholders so that the BIE-D program can be implemented according to the national education vision,” explained Himmatul Hasanah.
